Our
Philosophy
“Domestic
and sexual violence has been a socially condoned phenomenon. In light of
our present knowledge of the plight and of the myriad needs of battered
women, we consider it our duty to work toward an eradication of domestic
and sexual violence in our society. We also consider it our duty to help
women escape lives dominated by violence and to spread the message that
women have the right not to be abused. We intend through coordinated
interaction to address these issues on a statewide level.”

Our Purpose
The
purpose for which the Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence was formed
is to work toward the elimination of domestic and sexual violence against
all persons, and the empowerment of women and children. The general
objectives of the organization are to provide information to direct and
indirect service providers in the field of domestic and sexual violence,
and to provide information, education and
advocacy to the general public concerning the issues of domestic
and sexual violence. In addition, the Nevada Network Against Domestic
Violence generates and disburses funds to direct service programs, and
administers said funds in accordance with generally accepted standards of
fiscal accountability.
